## A headshot between meetings

Most people who book headshots here are in Dubai for a conference or a week of meetings, so the session comes to you — the hotel, the office or a quiet corner of a business lounge — with portable lighting and a neutral backdrop. Thirty minutes covers one lit set-up and two looks, jacket on and jacket off — enough for a profile picture and a website portrait.

Headshot light needs to be soft and even, and outdoors in Dubai that rules out roughly 10 am to 4 pm for most of the year: the sun is high, eyes sink into shadow and people squint. Indoors it does not matter, which is why most sessions are lit inside, next to a window or with a portable softbox. Bring two shirts in plain mid-tones; fine stripes and small checks shimmer on screens and cannot be retouched away. Hotel lobbies are private property, so we ask the front desk before setting up.
