How the shoot is planned
The typical plan runs 2 hours: we start at Moreeb Dune and move on to Qasr Al Sarab. Two locations rather than one give you two distinct backdrops, and the transfer between them is timed in advance so the soft light is not spent in a car.
The hour matters more than the location. For Moreeb Dune, the window to aim for is the hour after sunrise. The session runs 2 hours and is built around that window rather than your diary: from May to September the middle of the day in the UAE is hard light and dangerous heat, so sunrise and the last hour before sunset are not a preference here but the rule.
