An elopement here is usually a symbolic ceremony — on a dune, a beach or a hotel terrace — with the legal marriage done separately, or not at all. Four hours lets the day unfold without a timetable: getting ready, a first look, the vows, portraits at golden hour and the start of dinner. That produces about 200 edited photos, delivered in a private gallery within three weeks.
The desert is the classic choice, and logistics decide whether it works. Most dune sites near Dubai are 45 to 60 minutes from the city, the last stretch by 4×4; arriving an hour before sunset leaves time to walk to an untouched ridge before the light goes. In spring the wind lifts sand after about 4 pm, so veils need pins and vows are read with your backs to it. Beach and hotel ceremonies need the venue’s approval for any set-up, and some hotels charge outside suppliers a fee — we ask before you sign.
If you also want the marriage to be legal, Abu Dhabi’s civil family court marries non-Muslim visitors on a tourist visa, and the elopement can follow the same day or the next.

Frequently asked questions: Elopement photographer
Is a ceremony in the desert legally a marriage?
No — a symbolic ceremony is just that. If you want it to be legal, the simplest route for non-residents is a civil marriage at the Abu Dhabi court, which can be done the same week; many couples do that in the morning and the dunes in the evening.
