The route
At The Pointe the photographer arrives early and takes up a position twenty to thirty metres from the agreed mark at the far end of the promenade, looking like any visitor photographing Atlantis. You walk out along the waterfront about twenty minutes before sunset, stop at the mark you were shown in a photo the day before, and kneel with the hotel behind your partner. The photographer covers the moment and the first reaction without moving closer, then walks over once the answer is in. The remaining time goes on portraits along the water’s edge while the facade warms up, finishing as the facade lights come on.
